BREONNA TAYLOR #SAYHERNAME

@katiedesigned

On March 13th, 2020, three officers with a no-knock warrant entered Breonna Taylor’s apartment looking for two suspected drug dealers. The officers fired more than 20 rounds into the apartment, hitting her at least eight times and killing her.

The police’s incident report contained multiple errors. It listed Breonna Taylor’s injuries as “none” and indicated that police had not forced their way into the apartment despite the fact that they used a battering ram to break the door open.

The first person involved in the incident to be arrested and charged was Breonna Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, who fired his gun in self-defense, thinking their home was being broken into.

As of June 11th, the Louisville Metro Council voted unanimously to ban no-knock warrants in new legislation titled Breonna's Law. However, Breonna still has not received justice.
