TANABEL
Refugee Powered Food & Events

Katie helped Tanabel with a brand refresh, updating the beloved pomegranate logo and establishing a visual system and brand guidelines.

About the Brand

Founded by Hannah Goldberg, Tanabel is a refugee-powered food and events company based in Brooklyn, New York. Tanabel employs refugee women from the middle east to cook traditional cuisines.

Logo Refresh & Visual System

As Tanabel continues to grow as a food business, they were looking to refresh their current logo and establish a more polished brand identity. They were also in need of a more functional and beautiful website, which acts as the main customer touchpoint.

Logo Refresh & Visual System

To update the existing logo, which features a pomegranate symbol that ties in elements of Arabic text, Katie polished the shapes in the pomegranate and made it a deeper, more rich pomegranate red shade.

Katie worked closely with the Tanabel founder to create a custom pomegranate icon and Tanabel wordmark using the font, Belleza Regular.

New Website

Katie re-designed Tanabel's website from scratch on Wix. The new website just recently launched ahead of Tanabel's coverage in The New Yorker. Minor tweaks are still being ironed out.

Branded Materials

Tanabel was in need of a postcard/leave-behind for a pop-up event. Additional branded materials and marketing collateral for Tanabel coming soon!
